How to use the Portfolio Overview
Learn what the Portfolio Overview shows, including Daily Loss, Anomalies, Performance Status and SoH spreads.
We are excited to introduce the new portfolio overview! We have revamped the design to make it cleaner and easier to use, providing an overview of the health, safety and performance of your battery energy storage systems. The portfolio overview serves as a starting point for your analysis and optimization of your energy storage system – click on any metric to dig deeper!
The Anomalies column shows the TWAICE Safety Anomaly Index, which indicates the overall safety status of your system.
The key information about your energy storage system is summarised on the left hand side, including the storage system name, location, initial capacity and maximum power.
What the Portfolio Overview shows
Daily Loss
The daily loss helps you to understand the difference between the current available energy and initial capacity. It is calculated based on one cycle per day, and does not consider aging. The daily loss is displayed both as energy lost as well as a monetary value, which is based on a market specific benchmark. This helps you understand whether you need to take any action to minimize this loss.
Anomalies (TWAICE Safety Anomaly Index)
The Anomalies column shows the TWAICE Safety Anomaly Index. It reflects the current safety status of the storage, ranging from 'Stable', to 'Action Recommended' to 'Action Required'. It is calculated based on the number of anomalous measurements for temperature, resistance and self-discharge. Learn more about the TWAICE Safety Anomaly Index here.
Performance Status
The performance status indicates the percentage of nodes in a storage (node is the level that groups your racks; your platform may show your own name for it, for example DC Combiner) with balancing issues. The severity is based on the node with the highest imbalance. Click on this to go to the Performance Manager, which helps you identify imbalanced nodes and restore optimal performance.
SoH spreads
SoH spreads shows the range between the healthiest and least healthy strings in the storage. Use this insight to address strings with lower health to ensure overall system stability.
