How to use the Anomalies Section
Learn what the Anomalies section shows, how anomalies are detected and where to find threshold-based alerts.
The Anomalies section (formerly Safety Anomalies) shows components that behave unusually compared to their peers. It started with safety anomalies and now covers a broader set of anomalies.
The section is based on anomalies rather than thresholds. It shows you the components that require immediate attention, and gives you recommendations on how to resolve the issue. Access it via "Anomalies" in the navigation or the Anomalies column on the Portfolio Overview.
You talked, we listened
It became clear to us that the original threshold-based version (with the Alert Log as its central feature) was not meeting your needs. We heard that the alerts were not always relevant for safety and that there were simply too many to deal with.
Now, the Anomalies section shows you whether any components require attention right now.
If everything is green and stable, you can relax! There's nothing to worry about. However, if you see any red or orange, as in the example above, this is something you need to investigate.
Simply click on "Open detailed view" to get more information about the anomaly and a see a clear recommendation of action. Of course, you can always reach out to your Customer Success manager for further assistance.
How are anomalies detected?
Safety anomalies are based on temperature, resistance and self-discharge. An anomaly is one string behaving significantly differently from the other strings connected to the same DC Combiner (internally called a node; your platform may show your own name for this level). These are calculated once a day, therefore always show the information for the current state of the storage. More details can be found in this article.
Need threshold-based alerts?
The Alert Log has been replaced by Smart Alerts. If you want alerts based on thresholds you define, use Smart Alerts. Learn more about Smart Alerts.
